On June 23 and 24, public transport in Riga will be available free of charge, additional trips will be secured
“Rīgas satiksme” informs that on June 23 and 24, public transport in Riga is free of charge. During summer solstice holidays, there will be changes in the work of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres.
Tickets
On June 23 and 24, buses, trolleybuses and trams of “Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge, therefore passengers do not have to register their e-ticket or code ticket in transport vehicles.
Public transport
On holidays, public transport will run as usual according to the day-off schedule. Whereas, in order to secure the access of the visitors to various locations of the events organized in the vicinity of the city and back, on June 23, from approximately 19.00, and on the night of June 24, until approximately 5.30, additional trips will be arranged for on the following bus, trolleybus and tram routes:
- on combined routes No. 12, 23 and 26 (along the Stone Bridge), on bus routes No. 3, 11, 18, 24, 25, 37, 48, 50, 51 and 53;
- on tram routes No. 1, 5, 7, 10 and 11;
- on trolleybus routes No. 4, 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27.
Customer service centres
On June 22, the working hours of the customer service centre in Brīvības Street 49/53 will be from 8:00 until 16:00. The other customer service centres on Wednesday will work as usual on the workdays – in Spīķeru Street 1 and Kaļķu Street 1 - until 18.00, whereas, in Prāgas Street 1 and Kurzemes prospekts 137 - until 19.00. On Thursday and Friday – June 23 and 24, all customer service centres will be closed.
Parking lots
On holidays, June 23 and 24, Riga municipal parking lots maintained by „Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge, except the underground parking lot in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a at the Riga Congress Centre – there for the car parking, you will have to pay according to the valid tariffs.
